Application Notes
In Western blot, a band is seen approx. 110 kDa. Prior to immunostaining paraffin tissues, antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended.
In Simple Western only 10 - 15 uL of the recommended dilution is used per data point. Separated by Size-Wes, Sally Sue/Peggy Sue. The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors.
Theoretical MW
105 kDa. Disclaimer note: The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors.

Background
Nuclear factor kappa beta (NFKB) is a transcription factor that is highly influenced by stress, free-radicals, UV light and hypoxia. Unsurprisingly, NFKB is essential for many human cancers, as it regulates the expression of many downstream proteins that regulate or modify cellular growth and development. NFKB effects on angiogenic pathways and reactive mechanisms to stress and damage are well established throughout literature. Atherosclerosis is partly attributed to the mis-regulation of NFKB in hypoxia. Arthritis is related to inflammation proteins regulated through NFKB. It also has been shown to be important in synapses in brain, leading to memory and cognitive ability or impairment. In all, NFKB is one of the fastest responding transcription factors in humans, and is likely to mediate many responsive events in diseases and injury recovery.

FAQs for NFkB1/NFkB p105 Antibody (NBP1-77395). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQs).
I need a NFKappa B antibody p105 that recognizes both p105 and p50. In the past I used the Novus Biological antibody NBP1-77395 but I am not sure if it recognizes p50 as well?
We have not tested product NBP1-77395 specifically for the p50 subunit. The immunogen is made to aa 400-590 of the human NFkB p105/p50 protein. The p150 subunit encompasses aa 1-968 and the p50 subunit encompasses aa 1-433. Since the immunogen sequence does not include the entire p50 subunit, I do not think it will detect it. We have several products that should detect both subunits, which you can view here: available products.
