Simple Western: EPB41L3 Antibody [NB110-61027] - Simple Western lane view shows a specific band for EPB41L3 in 0.5 mg/ml of HeLa lysate. This experiment was performed under reducing conditions using the 12-230 kDa ...read more
This EPB41L3 antibody is useful for Western blot, where bands are seen at ~120 and 96 kDa. It detects both isoforms A and B in mouse brain lysates. It detects human isoform A strongly and isoform B more weakly.
In Simple Western only 10 - 15 uL of the recommended dilution is used per data point. Separated by Size-Wes, Sally Sue/Peggy Sue.

Background
Protein 4.1B is a member of a family of similar proteins whose expression is frequently lost in a variety of human tumors, including meningiomas, non-small-cell lung cancers, and breast carcinomas and is frequently down-regulated in human clinical prostate cancer. Studies have shown that Protein 4.1B normally triggers death in metastatic cells, thereby preventing cancer from spreading. A clinical test for Protein 4.1B activity could be useful in assessing the metastatic potential of prostate cancers.

I would want to know: if sample need to be desnaturalized or not, quantity of recombinant protein (in ug) per lane, and recommended concentration of primary and secondary antibody in order to recognise the recombinant protein correctly.
We tested NB110-61027 in western blot with reduced and denatured whole mouse brain lysate. Our antibody is recommended to be used at a dilution of 2.0ug/ml for western blot. We perform primary incubation overnight at 4C in blocking buffer (5% nonfat milk in TBST (0.1% tween-20)).
