Background

DDX belongs to the family of DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp, which are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure, such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division.

Limitations

  1. How long is the DDX5 antibody NB200-351 stable at 4C?
    • We guarantee our antibodies for 6 months after the date of receipt given that the product has been stored correctly. NB200-351 contains sodium azide, which is a very effective stabilizer and even though this antibody is past our guarantee coverage date, I would expect it to perform well.
