Specificity
Detects mouse Frizzled-1 in direct ELISAs and Western blots. Detects human Frizzled-1 in Flow Cytometry. In direct ELISAs, approximately 30% cross‑reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) Frizzled-9 is observed and no cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) Frizzled-5, rmFrizzled 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, or rhMFRP is observed. No staining is observed on normal human PBMCs.

Background

FZD1 is a widely expressed Frizzled Receptor that mediates Wnt signaling. FZD1 expression has been reported in heart, kidney, lung, ovary, pancreas, placenta, and prostate. ESTs have been isolated from brain, embryo, eye, heart, heart/melanocyte/uterus, kidney, liver/spleen, lung, prostate, skin, and uterus libraries.
