Background
The FOX1A transcription factor is a member of forkhead family of transcription factors. It is the main target of insulin signaling. When insulin is present, its activity is suppressed. It regulates metabolic homeostasis in response to oxidative stress. It has several other functions: main regulator of redox balance, control osteoblast numbers, promotes gluconeogenesis (hepatocytes), cell death regulation, promote neural cell death, regulation of adipogenic genes, regulate transcriptional activity of GADD45A, and repair nitric oxide-damaged DNA (beta-cells).
Limitations
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Primary Antibodies are guaranteed for 1 year from date of receipt.
FOXO1/FKHR (fork head in Rhabdomyosarcoma) FOXO1 belongs to the very large Forkhead family of transcription factors which contain a conserved distinct DNA-binding domain known as the Forkhead Box, or FOX. The Forkhead domain is a 100 amino acid long motif capable of binding and bending DNA,... Read full blog post.
