Alternate Names for Aggrecan Neoepitope Antibody [HRP]
Background
Aggrecan is a member of large, aggregating proteoglycans (also including, versican, brevican and neurocan) found in articular cartilage. Aggrecan is composed of three major domains: G1, G2, and G3. Between the G1 and G2 domains there is an interglobulin region (IGD). The IGD region is the major site of cleavage by specific proteases like metalloproteinases (MMP?s) and aggrecanase (ADAMTS). Aggrecan cleavage has been associated with a number of degenerative diseases including rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. The C-terminal NITEGE fragment is one of the G1 fragments produced when aggrecan is cleaved with aggrecanase. It is the most abundant fragment found in normal human synovial fluid and articular cartilage, and is the major product produced by aggrecanase cleavage. The NITEGE fragment has also been shown to accumulate rapidly after an acute cartilage injury.

I found the following products on your webpage: Aggrecan Neoepitope Antibody (NB100-74350), Aggrecan Neoepitope Antibody [HRP] (NB100-74350H), and Aggrecan Neoepitope Antibody [Biotin] (NB100-74350B). It is clear that both tagged antibodies are directed against the NITEGE neoepitope of aggrecan, but it is not clear for the non tagged antibody. Looking at the datasheets, those three antibodies look quite the same. Can you confirm that the non tagged antibody is also directed against the NITEGE neoepitope? The immunogen indicated in the datasheet is "A synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of human Aggrecan (within residues 350-400)"
- NB100-74350 is the same antibody that is conjugated to make NB100-74350B and NB100-74350H. The immunogen for NB100-74350 is the same as NB100-74350B and NB100-74350H.
