The amino acid sequence used as immunogen for this antibody is 94% homologous in Crab-eating Macaque, White-cheeked Gibbon, 88% in Guinea pig, Canine, common Rabbit, and Porcine, 82% in Chinese Hamster, gray short-tailed Opossum, Rat, and Xenopus.

Alternate Names for HOIP/RNF31 Antibody
Background
RNF31, ring finger protein 31, is an E3 ubiquitin ligase also known as ZIBRA and HOIP is 110-120kDa. There are a number of functions attributed to RNF31 (HOIP) including zinc-ion binding and protein-poly ubiquitination (1-3). The NF-kB pathway is positively regulated by RNF31. T cell activation through T cell receptors is also modulated through RNF31. Based on its monoubiquitination of DAX-1, a mammalian orphan receptor associated with steroidogenesis, RNF31 (HOIP) also appears to be a requisite co-regulator of steroidogenic pathways (4).
