Slit and Trk like gene 4 (SLITRK4) is one of six type I transmembrane (TM) proteins that belong to the SLITRK family of neurite guidance molecules. The extracellular region contains two blocks of leucine-rich repeats that are bounded by small cysteine-rich domains. The cytoplasmic region contains potential tyrosine kinase motifs reminiscent of the motifs on Trk receptors. Human SLITRK4 extracellular domain shares 98% aa sequence identity with the extracellular domains of both canine and mouse SLITRK4.
