Background
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the homeodomain family of DNA binding proteins. It may regulate gene expression, morphogenesis, and differentiation and it may also play a role in the cell cycle progession. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of some of these variants has not been determined.
Limitations
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Primary Antibodies are guaranteed for 1 year from date of receipt.
FAQs for CDP/CUTL1 Antibody (H00001523-M01). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQs).
We are intending to do a ChIP with CUX1 (p75 isoform) and would therefore be interested in your antibody (Cat. # H00001523-M01). Has it been shown that it recognizes the p75 isoform of CUX1? (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/protein/NP_852477.1) Are there any references or data you could send us that can confirm that this antibody would be suitable for a ChIP? Or do you have a different antibody that works for our desired application?
This antibody is produced by a Taiwanese company called Abnova and we distribute it for them. We do no in-house testing or development of their products. The immunogen for this antibody is present in the p75 isoform of CUX1, so it will recognize this isoform. It has successfully been used in IP, so it should work just fine in ChIP. The use of the antibody in these two applications is essentially the same, so there should be no problems.
