Background

The ACOT7 gene encodes a member of the acyl coenzyme family. The encoded protein hydrolyzes the CoA thioester ofpalmitoyl-CoA and other long-chain fatty acids. Decreased expression of this gene may be associated with mesialtemporal lobe epilepsy. Alternatively
