Background

CLEC4G is a gene that codes for a protein that is 293 amino acids in length and has a weight of approximately 33 kDa. Current studies are being done on diseases and disorders linked to this gene including severe acute respiratory syndrome and hepatitis. CLEC4G has also been shown to have interactions with EIF3I, IFI35, ASGR1, CAPN1, and CPN1.

Flow Cytometry: CD68/SR-D1 Antibody (KP1) [NB100-683] - An intracellular stain was performed on THP-1 cells with CD68/SR-D1 Antibody NB100-683 (blue) and a matched isotype control (orange). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and then permeabilized with 0.1% saponin. Cells were incubated in an antibody dilution of 1:50 for 30 minutes at room temperature, followed by Mouse IgG (H+L) Cross-Adsorbed Secondary Antibody.

Axl was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of mouse kidney using Goat Anti-Mouse Axl Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF854) at 3 µg/mL for 1 hour at room temperature followed by incubation with the Anti-Goat IgG VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Antibody (Catalog # VC004). Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # CTS013). Tissue was stained using DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to cell membranes in convoluted tubules.
