| Application Notes | This antibody is Cytof ready. This full-length, chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse scFv format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques. The antibody binds specifically to the recombinant and native variable domain of the alpha chain which comprises the T-cell receptor (TCR). The TCR is a disulfide-linked heterodimeric protein expressed on the surface of T-cells in complex with CD3 and zeta-chain molecules. The receptor functions in the recognition of MHC molecule and the subsequent activation of T-cells. The monoclonal antibody 34 recognises V-alpha regions of TCRs expressed in the 85.33 arthritogenic T-cell hybridoma and can be used to analyse TCR V gene expression and for immunotherapy in T cell mediated autoimmunity. |
