SOX3 was detected in immersion fixed NTera-2 human testicular embryonic carcinoma cell line differentiation with retinoic acid using Goat Anti-Human SOX3 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF2569) at 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 493-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (green, upper panel; NL003) and counterstained with DAPI (blue, lower panel). Background

SOX3 belongs to the SOX family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of cell fate. The SOX3 gene is localized on the X chromosome and is expressed in the brain and gonads. It has been suggested that SOX3 plays a role in brain formation and function. Human and mouse SOX3 share 92% amino acid sequence identity.

Western blot shows lysates of D3 mouse embryonic stem cell line, NTera-2 human testicular embryonic carcinoma cell line, F9 mouse teratocarcinoma stem cells, and rat cortical stem cells. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat SOX2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF2018) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (HAF017). A specific band was detected for SOX2 at approximately 36 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.
