Background

CD22 is a single-pass type 1 membrane glycoprotein found in the cytoplasm and cell membrane of B-lymphocytes. CD22 has at least two isoforms (alpha and beta) produced by alternate splicing. The protein exists predominantly as a monomer of the beta isoform (95 kDa). It is also found as a heterodimer of the beta and alpha isoforms.

CD45 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of mouse liver using Goat Anti-Mouse CD45 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF114) at 3 µg/mL for 1 hour at room temperature followed by incubation with the Anti-Goat IgG VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Antibody (Catalog # VC004). Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # CTS013). Tissue was stained using DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to Kupffer cells.
