Western blot shows lysates of human adrenal gland and human spleen. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human SF‑1/NR5A1 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB107241) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (HAF018). A specific band was detected for SF‑1/NR5A1 at approximately 52 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Western Blot Buffer Group 1.

Background

SF-1 (also NR5A1 and STF1) is a transcriptional activator essential for sexual differentiation and formation of the primary steroidogenic tissues.  Mutations in the NR5A1 gene result in multiple diseases ranging from infertility (SFPG8), premature ovarian failure (POF7), adrenal insufficiency (AINR), female to male sex reversal (SRXX4) and male to female sex reversal (SRXY3).

Western Blot: WT1 Antibody (6F-H2) [NB110-60011] - Whole cell protein from human K562, HEK293 and kidney tissue was separated on a 12% gel by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and blocked in 5% non-fat milk in TBST. The membrane was probed with 2.0 ug/ml anti-WT1 in block buffer and detected with an anti-mouse HRP secondary antibody using chemiluminescence.
