Background

The MAS1 product is highly similar to other MRG receptors. This receptor has been suggested to affect the blood pressure control and body fluid homeostasis in the renin-angiotensis system. Mas proto-oncogene has been reported in brain, breast, eye, heart, kidney, and testis. The MAS1 protein may be a receptor that, when activated, modulates a critical component in a growth regulating pathway to bring about oncogenic effects.

A specific band was detected for ACE‑2 at approximately 155 kDa (as indicated) using 10 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human ACE‑2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF933) followed by 1:50 dilution of HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF109). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using the 12-230 kDa separation system.
