Background

ACAA2 catalyzes the last step of the mitochondrial fatty acid beta-oxidation spiral. Unlike most mitochondrial matrix proteins, it contains a non-cleavable amino-terminal targeting signal.The encoded protein catalyzes the last step of the mitochondrial fatty acid beta-oxidation spiral.
