Background

LONP1 encodes a mitochondrial matrix protein in the Lon family of ATP-dependent proteases. A similar E. coli protein regulates gene expression by targeting specific regulatory proteins for degradation. This protein binds a specific sequence in the light and heavy chain promoters of the mitochondrial genome which are involved in regulation of DNA replication and transcription. [provided by RefSeq]

Flow Cytometry: c-Myc Antibody (9E10) [NB600-302] - An intracellular stain was performed on U-937 cells with c-Myc Antibody (9E10) NB600-302AF488 (blue) and a matched isotype control (orange). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and then permeabilized with 0.1% saponin. Cells were incubated in an antibody dilution of 10 ug/mL for 30 minutes at room temperature. Both antibodies were conjugated to Alexa Fluor 488.
