Background

The Connexin 30.3 / GJB4 gene encodes a transmembrane connexin protein that is a component of gap junctions. Mutations in this gene havebeen associated with erythrokeratodermia variabilis, progressive symmetric erythrokeratoderma and hearing impairment.(provided by RefSeq)
