The results were derived from four independent experiments for immunohistochemistry staining and Western blot and expressed as the mean +/- SD. *p < 0.05 vs. the model; #p < 0.05 vs. the indicated treatment. Image collected and cropped by CiteAb from the following publication (https://journal.frontiersin.org/article/10.3389/fimmu.2016.00532/full), licensed under a CC-BY license.Analysis of human esophagus using NLRP3/NALP3 antibody at 1:50 on a Bond Rx autostainer (Leica Biosystems). The assay involved 20 minutes of heat induced antigen retrieval (HIER) using 10mM sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) and endogenous peroxidase quenching with peroxide block. The sections were incubated with primary antibody for 30 minutes and Bond Polymer Refine Detection (Leica Biosystems) with DAB was used for signal development followed by counterstaining with hematoxylin. Whole slide scanning and capturing of representative images was performed using Aperio AT2 (Leica Biosystems). Cytoplasmic staining in the squamous epithelium was observed. Staining was performed by Histowiz.

Immunohistochemistry: Aquaporin 1/AQP1 Antibody (1/A5F6) [NB600-749] - Pax8-CreERT2 mediated beta-galactosidase expression. beta-galactosidase positivity was exclusively found in the tubular epithelium of the kidney of tamoxifen treated mice, with no staining observed in glomeruli or bloods vessels (a, framed area is shown enlarged in b). Kidneys from vehicle treated mice were negative (c). Co-localisation studies revealed X-gal expression within tubules of all renal tubular compartment (proximal tubules-AQP1, distal tubules-THP and collecting ducts-AQP2). Scale bars, 100um. Image collected and cropped by CiteAb from the following publication (https://dx.plos.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0148055), licensed under a CC-BY license.Immunohistochemistry: Aquaporin 1/AQP1 Antibody (1/A5F6) [NB600-749] - Intraparenchymal delivery of lentiviral vectors preferentially infects epithelial cells of both kidneys and urinary bladder. Confocal images of Strawberry expression in renal sections of ELS infected kidneys 60 days post injection. Sections were stained with the indicated antibodies and merged images with DAPI (blue) are presented. Preferential transduction was observed in proximal (AQP1) and distal (THP) renal tubular epithelial cells and renal fibroblasts (CD73) (white arrowheads).
