Myeloid cells are one of two classes of marrow-derived blood cells that include megakaryocytes, erythrocyte-precursors, mononuclear phagocytes and all of the polymorphonuclear leucocytes. Most researchers restrict the term myeloid to mononuclear phagocytes and granulocytes.
