Western blot shows mouse plasma and rat plasma. PVDF membrane was probed with 1:1000 dilution of Rabbit Anti-Mouse/Rat a 1B-Glycoprotein Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF8537) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rabbit IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF008). A specific band was detected for a 1B-Glycoprotein at approximately 75 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

Background

The alpha 1B-Glycoprotein is a plasma glycoprotein, encoded by the A1BG gene with an unknown function. The protein shows sequence similarity to the variable regions of some immunoglobulin supergene family member proteins.
