Cholestatic Hepatitis is a type of hepatitis inflammation marked by cholestasis which is any condition in which the flow of bile from the liver is slowed or blocked. Cholestatic Hepatitis often is a result from reaction to drugs such as estrogens or chlorpromazines. The time of onset is typically 2-12 weeks after starting medication, but can occur up to one year after. Cholestatic Hepatitis is treated by treating the underlying cause of the disease. Cholestatic Hepatitis is not subjected to any gender, age, or ethnicity but the use of numerous medications can lead to Cholestatic Hepatitis.
