Description
Expression of this receptor has been reported in prostate, liver, kidney, heart, brain, spinal cord, bladder, and various blood vessels. ESTs have been isolated from liver and testis libraries. Caution: The name ADRA1A has been used to describe both the alpha 1c adrenoceptor (human chromosome 20) and the alpha 1d adrenoceptor (human chromosome 8), and the alpha 1c adrenoceptor is also known as alpha 1a adrenoceptor.
