Description
Energy homeostasis-associated protein (ENHO), also known as Adropin, helps to ] regulate glucose homestasis and lipid metabolism. Adropin is also thought to affect the activity of other metabolic genes, specifically those involved in the production of lipids from carbohydrates.
Adropin is a secreted protein encoded by the ENHO gene found in the brain and liver. In the liver, Adropin has been found to increase in response to high-fat foods and decrease after fasting.
