FAQs for Skeletal Muscle Lysate (NB820-59253). (Showing 1 - 3 of 3 FAQs).
I recently ordered whole normal skeletal muscle lysate and whole normal liver lysate (NB820-59253 and 59232). What are the exact concentrations for the buffer components that each of the lysates is in? I need to dilute the lysate because the concentration given is too high (5mg/mL), but I want to dilute it in whatever buffer it is in. Can you recommend what I should do?
Unfortunately the concentrations of the components (stated on the datasheet) are proprietary. I apologize. If the concentration is too high, our lab recommends simply diluting it in your loading buffer. A 4x or higher loading buffer should suffice.
I am interested in your skeletal muscle total protein, including NB820-59294, NB820-59253 and NBL1-26511. I would like to know if you have the skeletal muscle tissue from different individuals? Are all of they from the same people? How detailed information about the donor could you offer us? Could you give us the body weight, height, blood glucose of the donor? Do you know the diabetic donor is type 1 or type 2 diabetes? Do you have any scientific papers using this product?
NB820-59294 comes from a 67 year old male donor. NB820-59253 comes from a 24 year old male donor. NBL1-26511 comes from a 79 year old male donor. This patient had type II diabetes. That is the only other information I have on the patient at this time. I also have no publications using this product at the moment.
Regarding Human Skeletal Muscle Whole Tissue Lysate (Adult Whole Normal) NB820-59253: 1) Do you have donor information (country, race, sex, age) for each lot available? 2) Do you have informed consent from the donor, and may we have that document? 3) Did you do a virus check for HIV, HBV, and HCV, and may we have the document of proof?
1) The current standard lot for this product is of US origin. It is from a 66 year old Asian female.2) Yes, we do have informed consent. However, by law we cannot share the actual consent form. We can only provide the template.3) Yes, the source material was tested and found to be negative for these viruses. However, the product should still be handled as potentially infectious. The testing results are propriety info that is involved in the privacy of our donors, and hence cannot be disclosed
The concentration calculator allows you to quickly calculate the volume, mass or concentration of your vial. Simply enter your mass, volume, or concentration values for your reagent and the calculator will determine the rest.
