Description |
This 25X Proteinase K solution is specifically formulated to achieve proteolytic digestion of formalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissue sections prior to performing in situ hybridization procedures. Proteolytic digestion of formalin fixed tissues improves the accessibility of target DNA to bioinylated probes, which results in better in situ staining. |

Application Notes |
Preparation of Working Solutions 1. Place 100uL Proteinase K solution in a glass tube, add 2.4mL distilled water, and mix. Protocol Recommendations 1. Optimal digestion conditions will vary depending on fixation conditions and should be optimized by the end user. 2. Incubation of tissue sections for 10-30 minutes at 37C is sufficient for in situ. |
